An agronomist by profession, Petra Jacobi heads GIZ’s ‘Rural Development’ project where she advises BMZ on rural development. Since joining GTZ (now GIZ) more than 20 year ago, she has been involved in the design, management and evaluation of rural development projects in Asia and Africa. She has also managed projects in Kenya, Nigeria and Tanzania, covering rural and local economic development, natural resource management as well as climate change and resilience.
